From Raleigh & the East

  • From the Beltline, get on US 1 and 64 South towards Sanford and Asheboro.
  • At MacGregor Downs turn onto 64 West to Asheboro and Pittsboro.
  • Travel about 20 minutes to Jordan Lake, continuing across the Lake on 64.
  • Once you cross over Jordan Lake, go about 3 miles and you will pass a CITGO gas station on your right.
  • Continue on 64 down a long gentle incline to the Haw River bridge, and get into the left lane.
  • 200 yards beyond the bridge turn left on Foxfire Trace.
  • Go to the top of the hill and turn left on Dee Farrell Road.
  • Go about half a mile to a Stop sign and turn right on Hanks Chapel Road.
  • Go another mile to Johnny Burke Road and turn left.
  • Proceed on Johnny Burke Road half a mile until the pavement ends, then follow the gravel drivewayto the pottery, which is at the very end.

From Asheboro & the West

  • Head East on 64 through Ramsuer and Siler City, and continue another 15 minutes or so until on 64 until you see a big green sign for Pittsboro, and bear right off the four lane highway onto 64 Business.
  • Head into the center of town and you reach the Courthouse.
  • Continue around the Courthouse on Business/Old 64 East towards Raleigh.
  • Go 2 miles. Up ahead you will see a big green-and-white billboard.
  • Turn right at the base of the billboard on Hanks Chapel Road.
  • Take an immediate left, still on Hanks Chapel Road, and go half a mile to the second road on your right.
  • Turn right on Johnny Burke Road, and proceed half a mile until the pavement ends, then follow the gravel driveway a short distance to the pottery, which is at the very end.

From Chapel Hill, Durham & the North

  • Head South on 15/501 all the way to the Courthouse in the center of Pittsboro. (*Do not get on the bypass 4 miles north of town).
  • At the Courthouse turn left on Business/Old 64 East towards Raleigh.
  • Go 2 miles. Up ahead you will see a big green-and-white billboard.
  • Turn right at the base of the billboard on Hanks Chapel Road.
  • Take an immediate left, still on Hanks Chapel Road, and go half a mile to the second road on your right.
  • Turn right on Johnny Burke Road, and proceed half a mile until the pavement ends, then follow the gravel driveway a short distance to the pottery, which is at the very end.

From Sanford & the South

  • Go north on 15/501 to the Courthouse in the center of Pittsboro.

From Moncure

  • Head towards Pittsboro on the Pittsboro-Moncure Road.
  • After about three miles turn right on Gum Springs Road, and enjoy the drive to Hanks Chapel.
  • Go another mile to Johnny Burke Road and turn left.
  • Proceed on Johnny Burke Road half a mile until the pavement ends, then follow the gravel drivewayto the pottery, which is at the very end.
